To Hump A Pillow with Coach Ellen Melon

Feb 10, 2021

I’ve been dealing with Emotional Availability (well, the lack of it), for the first time in a relationship over the past 9 months, witnessing myself exhibiting behavior that makes me go, “I don’t like who I’m becoming” and feeling an overall sense of disempowerment. This is a very personal podcast episode where I’ll share some insights from my own intimate relationship and some patterns I’ve noticed myself exhibiting, like anxious attachment and codependency.

In this episode, I’m going to teach you Attachment Theory 101 (anxious, avoidant, and secure), teach you the 3 Elements of Emotional Responsiveness by Dr. Sue Johnson, and discuss what accountability means in relationships and why it’s so important to be honest WITH OURSELVES in order to be honest with each other. I’ll end with a very private letter called, Dear Mr. Emotional Availability, a note to the person I want to attract in my life. This episode is for people who are feeling stuck in relationships, stuck in old patterns and behaviors, asking themselves, “Why is this happening? What am I doing?” Buckle up.
